Lupus - Overlap Diseases

Many of those who suffer with Lupus (SLE) also have other connective tissue auto-immune conditions. Like Lupus, the case of these secondary conditions remains unknown and the majority of sufferers are female. Sjogren’s syndrome, Rheumatoid arthritis, Raynaud’s phenomenon and Fibromyalgia can occur as the Primary and only connective tissue condition. However when they occur alongside other auto-immune diseases such as Lupus, they are known as the Secondary condition.
